Status / update on DGM (F) promotions (26/09/2017):

It is reliably learnt that the Director (HR)/(Finance), BSNL Board has approved the promotion and posting orders in respect of 66 CAOs to DGM (F) Adhoc promotions.

Orders are likely to be released today itself.

Associations and Unions of BSNL, Tamilnadu Circle, we met Shri.Manoj Sinhaji, Honourable Minister for Communications

On behalf of the Associations and Unions of BSNL, Tamilnadu Circle, Office bearers met Shri.Manoj Sinhaji, Honourable Minister for Communications during his official visit to RGM TTC Chennai for inaugurating “Swatch Bharath” programme and submitted a memorandum on “Implementation of 3rd PRC in BSNL with 15% fitment benefit” and “Formation of Subsidiary Tower Company” 

1. On PRC issue, he appreciated our concern and assured to settle in the interest of employees of BSNL. At the same time he advised to increase the revenue in BSNL so as to get more benefits.

2. On the other issue, he clarified the proposed Tower Company is a part of business activity and will be fully owned by BSNL and assured that the same will not be privatized at least till he is assuming the office. However we requested to have discussions with the Associations and Unions to clear the apprehension in the minds of the employees.

Cabinet has approved hiving off the mobile tower assets of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd

NEW DELHI: The Cabinet has approved hiving off the mobile tower assets of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. into a wholly owned unit of the state-run telco which can then monetize the assets to raise funds.

“The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval for hiving off mobile tower assets of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) into a separate company, fully owned by BSNL,” a government notice said Tuesday.

“This approval authorizes BSNL to monetize its telecom tower infrastructure with the formation of a separate subsidiary company,” it added.
There are around 4,42,000 mobile towers in the country out of which more than 66,000 mobile tower are of BSNL.

“An independent, dedicated tower company of BSNL with a focused approach will lead to increasing of external tenancies and consequentially higher revenue for the new company,” the notice said.

1.    Memorandum to be submitted to the Hon’ble MPs (LS/RS) by all the Circle / District Secretaries immediately.

2.    Holding of Demonstration on 04.10.2017 during Lunch / Closing hours at BSNL CO New Delhi, Circle and SSA Head quarters and submission of memorandum to His Excellency, Governor of the States, CGMTs and SSA Heads for recommending to the Hon’ble MoSC (I/C)

3.    “Candle Light” march on 04.10.2017 at 18.00 Hrs from BSNL Corporate Office, Janpath, New Delhi to Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.

All the Circle / District Secretaries are requested to submit the Memorandum After demonstration to the His Excellency Governor / LG of the State and CMD / CGMT / SSA Heads. The Memorandum should be submitted to all the Hon’ble Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha in their area immediately.

AIBSNLEA CHQ Delhi will organize a "Candle March" at 18.00 Hrs from BSNL Corporate Office, Janpath to Jantar Mantar, New Delhi in support of this demand.

We request all the BSNL Unions / Associations to participate and support the program.

All the Circle / District Secretaries are requested to ensure successful implementation of the above Organizational Action Program with 100% participation.
